My Story

Born in Augusta, Georgia, D'Antoine ("D") Newsome is a videographer, photographer, and web developer in pursuit of his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey. His journey as a videographer and photographer began in 2015 when he took videos on his cell phone of his older brother, D'Angeleau, performing with the 8-time world champion percussion ensemble, Music City Mystique. From picking up his first mirrorless camera in 2019, he's gained a passion for creating authentic, impassioned experiences through the digital medium.

His pursuit of a Computer Science degree stemmed from his early teens with his fascination of cell phones and technology. Meanwhile, his leadership and tenacity for building something worth becoming is motivated by his father, Mark, who retired as Lieutenant Colonel after serving 25 years in the Army, and is now an executive at IBM. By receiving anchor inspiration from his military veteran and disabled mother, Sherry, D ambitiously strives to coalesce technical problem solving with creative exploration, resulting in work that showcases the beauty of the world and those that inhabit it under his creative agency, Mothersun Digital.
